Artwork is photographically reproduced, allowing for gradient colors, shadows, and an exact duplication of a photo. Pins are colored with ink directly on the metal surface before each one is cut to shape. A clear epoxy dome must be added to protect the ink from fading or wearing off. Brass, stainless steel, or aluminum is used as the base metal for printed pins. Each metal has a slightly different weight and a different price point. An ideal process to use when shaded colors are required or exact duplication of a logo is needed.
