Terms & Conditions

Since 1957, C. Sanders Emblems has worked alongside our customers to produce quality custom and stock products, earning a reputation for excellent personal service and on-time delivery. Each order requires input from both C. Sanders Emblems and our customers to ensure customers receive the products that they want. Some of the necessary information needed includes design input, delivery requirements, cost, size, attachments, and more. Please take a moment to read the terms and conditions that govern all of our sales, as they provide guidelines to inform and protect both the customer and C. Sanders Emblems. All orders placed by a customer with C. Sanders Emblems will be subject to all of the terms and conditions set forth herein.

Acknowledgements and Proof

When you order a custom product, you will receive via email an acknowledgment and digital image of your design. Carefully review your digital proof and acknowledgement, paying particular attention to the design that you have chosen, the spelling of any text, the colors used, the size of your product, and the process used to manufacture your product, along with the quoted costs. Return your approval to us via email. If there are any corrections, changes, or discrepancies, please let us know right away and we will make the changes and send the revised acknowledgement and digital proof for your final approval. NO CUSTOM ORDER WILL BE SENT TO THE FACTORY WITHOUT THE CUSTOMER’S WRITTEN FINAL APPROVAL. APPROVED CUSTOM ORDERS, ONCE PLACED, CANNOT BE CANCELLED FOR ANY REASON.


Vectors, EPSs, JPEGs, and rough sketches are accepted. Our in-house art department is available at no charge with a confirmed custom order. If an order for a custom product is not placed after C. Sanders Emblems submits a design to a customer for approval, the customer will incur a $100.00 charge for this artwork.


As stated above under "Acknowledgments and Proof," all custom sales are final once the approved custom order has been submitted for production. THE ORDER CANNOT BE CANCELLED FOR ANY REASON. Stock orders can be exchanged or returned for credit.

Carrying Charges

Accounts with unpaid balances 30 days after their invoice date will be assessed a carrying charge of 1.5% per month on the unpaid balance. Carrying charges are automatically computed and added to accounts at the end of the month, prior to the printing of the customer’s statement.


Custom dies belong exclusively to the customer and remain at the factory. C. Sanders Emblems reserves the right to dispose of any dies or tools for custom products without notice if a period of 2 years has elapsed without a reorder or a special request by the customer to hold the dies for a longer period of time.


Stock orders are generally sent out the same day that they are received. Depending on your location, please allow 5 to 7 business days for stock orders to arrive. For delivery of custom orders, allow 6 weeks after written approval of the acknowledgment and digital proof. All shipments are F.O.B. C. Sanders Emblems' California office. We make every reasonable effort to deliver your product on or before the date it is needed. Please understand, however, that we cannot guarantee our deliveries, nor can we be held responsible for delays in shipping that are beyond our control. Delays can occur as a result of inaccurate or undeliverable address information or misrouting of your package by U.P.S. or the U.S. Post Office. We cannot be held responsible for products lost, damaged, and/or delayed by the freight carrier, and claims for said matter must be promptly filed by the customer with the carrier.

Drop/Split Shipments

No additional charges for drop shipments. Split shipments incur an additional charge of $4.00 per location for deliveries to two or more locations.

Guarantees & Return Policies

We are confident that you will be completely satisfied with your order, and we stand behind the quality of our products 100%. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return stock pins for replacement, exchange, or credit within 30 days from the date of purchase. Returned stock pins must be in their original packaging. Unless there is an error on our part, or the merchandise is defective or was damaged in the manufacturing process, you will be charged a $10 restocking fee. We do not refund shipping on any returned stock items.
There are no refunds or returns for credit for custom orders. However, in the event a product was damaged during the manufacturing process, the product will be remade without cost (including free shipping) to the customer. 

Payment & Terms

A 50% deposit is required prior to the start of production on all custom orders. The balance owed on custom orders is due upon the customer’s receipt of the C. Sanders Emblems invoice. Reorders of custom products will also require a 50% deposit, with the balance due within 15 days of the customer’s receipt of the invoice.

Net 30 day terms are available on approved credit to established accounts only. Unpaid accounts are automatically assessed a carrying charge of 1.5% per month.

Payment in full is required prior to shipping stock orders. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and checks written on United States financial institutions in the United States.

Returned checks will incur a service charge of $25.00 plus any additional bank charges.


Unless specified otherwise, all pins come individually packaged in polyethylene bags.


All prices in C. Sanders Emblems' catalogs and on this website are subject to change without notice. Special pricing is available for larger quantities. Please contact our sales office for more information.


C. Sanders Emblems does not sell, share, or rent information about our customers or visitors to our website. We recognize that privacy is important, and we are committed to maintaining and using your information responsibly. For security reasons, we do not keep credit card information on file.

Product Safety

C. Sanders Emblems complies with all current U.S. federal- and CA state-mandated regulations and laws governing the safety of our products. In addition, we are bound by a signed code of product responsibility conduct with PPAI, a non-profit professional organization for the promotional products industry.

Promotional Rights

C. Sanders Emblems reserves the right to utilize all custom and stock products and their images in our marketing materials. Products shown on our website, in our catalog, or on other printed materials are not intended to be resold and are for the exclusive use of the original customer. All products that contain corporate logos or registered trademarks are shown only to illustrate the reproduction capabilities of C. Sanders Emblems. 


Large and less-than-minimum quantities are quoted on an individual basis. Only written quotes are honored and are valid for 30 days.

Repeat Orders

If no changes are made to the artwork, there are no charges for dies, set-up, or screen moulds on repeat orders. Dies are kept for 2 years from the original order date unless other arrangements have been made between the customer and C. Sanders Emblems.


All claims must be made within 30 days of the customer’s receipt of merchandise. A written authorization must be obtained from C. Sanders Emblems before merchandise can be returned. With written permission from C. Sanders Emblems, stock products can be returned or exchanged; however, no custom products can be returned unless they have been damaged during manufacturing. No refunds for shipping costs are allowed for the exchange or return of stock products, the only exception being manufacturing defects on custom orders that result in a remake. In these cases, the customer will incur no shipping costs.

Rush Orders

Please call in advance for a price quote and an estimated delivery date. Rush orders may require expedited shipping and may incur an additional service charge.


Pre-production samples are available for some custom products. For set-up costs, die costs, and shipping costs, please contact a sales representative. Some charges for pre-production samples are applied to a placed order. Sample requests must be made at the time the order is placed. Allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery of samples. To save on cost and time, samples can be viewed as digital images for approval.

Shipping & Handling Orders

Orders are shipped either via U.P.S. ground service or by U.S.P.S. Shipments are F.O.B. San Fernando, California. A handling fee of $8.00 per box is charged for all custom orders, and a $4.00 per box fee is charged for all stock orders.
Rush service may be available and is accepted on an order-by-order basis. Please contact a sales representative for individual quotes. All rush orders must be confirmed by C. Sanders Emblems in writing and require full payment before shipment.

Trademarks for Custom Orders

C. Sanders Emblems assumes that its customers have the unfettered right to use all trademarks, service marks, and/or copyrighted logos and designs sent to us for reproduction. We assume no liability in any trademark, service mark, and/or copyright infringement disputes. Customer agrees to indemnify and hold C. Sanders Emblems harmless for all attorney fees, costs, and/or damages that are incurred relative to any claim by the owner of any intellectual property used without consent. Should we determine that the product may require a license to manufacture, we will need a copy of your written authorization to use the subject intellectual property. However, we reserve the right to assume that by submitting your design to C. Sanders Emblems, you warrant to us that you have the legal right to reproduce any logos or other images associated with that design. You also certify that the production of any images you submit does not infringe on any other person/entity’s intellectual property rights.

In the event that a legal dispute arises between C. Sanders Emblems and a customer, the customer shall be deemed to have agreed by placing his or her order that the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for such a dispute shall be Los Angeles County, California, USA. The prevailing party in any dispute is entitled to an award of reasonable attorney’s fees before trial or hearing, during trial or hearing, after trial or hearing, and/or on appeal. Should C. Sanders Emblems be named in a copyright, trademark, service mark, and/or other intellectual property infringement lawsuit arising from a protected C. Sanders Emblems item provided by a customer for use in a product, the customer hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless C. Sanders Emblems for any damages, reasonable attorney’s fees, and/or other litigation-related expenses incurred by C. Sanders Emblems. 

All C. Sanders Emblems stock products are copyrighted and registered with the Library of Congress Copyright Office. No one has permission to duplicate them or have them duplicated.

Verbal Orders

Phone orders for stock or custom products must be confirmed by the customer in writing by email or fax before an order can proceed. We are not responsible for errors on customer-written orders.
